Defining the integration process typically involves knowing exactly what data sets need to be shared (transactional or master data) from which system, and when the data will be needed for each. For each system, you’ll need to determine the trigger point for each data set. For example, transactional data flows such as purchase requisitions, funnel metrics, invoices that contain high-value variances, etc. require real-time integration. However, batch integration can be employed for data transfers such as exchange rates, and HCM information.
